Please contact me at this address with any questions about data protection or to exercise your rights.
This policy applies to the website www.presentation-power.ch and to my trainings and coaching sessions. I process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, I rely on the following legal bases:
When you visit the website, my hosting provider netcup GmbH, Germany, automatically stores technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system. This data is used to keep the website stable and secure.
When you contact me, I process your name, email address, phone number if provided, and your message in order to reply to your enquiry.
To protect against spam I use ALTCHA, a method that works without cookies and without passing data to third parties: your browser solves a small computing task that is verified only on my server.
For an initial introductory conversation I use phone, email, Microsoft Teams or Zoom, as you prefer (see section 7 ).
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted after 2 years at the latest. If you have consented to the newsletter, your contact details remain on the mailing list until you unsubscribe (see section 6 ).
For bookings and to deliver my services I process contact and contract data (e.g. name, company, address, service booked, invoicing and payment data). Anything participants share about themselves or present during a training is treated confidentially. I only make video or audio recordings of exercises with your consent. After the training I send you the recordings via a file transfer service (see section 7 ) and delete my copies 4 weeks after receipt of payment, unless agreed otherwise.
Accounting records are kept for 10 years in accordance with Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations.
I occasionally send a newsletter with tips on presence and presenting as well as information about my trainings. For this I store your email address, name and form of address (Ms/Mr) and, where available, first name, company and address.
The newsletter is sent to:
You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in every issue or by emailing me. Your address is then removed from the mailing list.
The newsletter is sent via CleverReach (CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Rastede, Germany); the data is stored in the EU. CleverReach measures whether a newsletter has been opened and which links were clicked, so that I can improve the content. The legal basis is your consent or, for clients, my legitimate interest in informing them about similar services (Art. 6(1)(a) or (f) GDPR).
For initial calls, online coaching and meetings I use Zoom (Zoom Communications, Inc., USA) and Microsoft Teams , and Microsoft 365 for email and documents (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., Ireland; parent company in the USA). This involves processing your name, email address, video and audio data, chat content and meeting metadata. Meetings are only recorded after prior notice and with your consent.
To send training videos and larger files I use:
The files and your email address are stored by the respective provider. Where possible, I set download links to expire and/or protect them with a password. The providers’ privacy policies also apply.
I set strictly necessary cookies without consent, e.g. to store your cookie choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set once you agree in the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. All cookies with their purpose and lifetime are listed in the cookie list below.
With your consent I use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to understand how the website is used (e.g. pages visited, time spent, approximate location, device type). Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA (see section 12 ). Analytics data is deleted after 14 months.
With your consent I use Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited). This allows me to measure whether an ad led to an enquiry (conversion tracking) and to show ads on other websites to people who have visited my website (remarketing). Google may link this data to your Google account. I use Google Consent Mode for this: without consent, no advertising cookies are set. Google ad settings: adssettings.google.com .
The website links to my LinkedIn profile and my Google reviews. These are plain links; no data is transferred until you click on them. LinkedIn’s or Google’s privacy policy then applies.
SwissTransfer stores data in Switzerland; WeTransfer and CleverReach are based in the EU. These countries are considered to provide adequate protection. Some providers (Google, Microsoft including OneDrive, Teams and LinkedIn, Zoom) may process data in the USA. From a Swiss and EU perspective, the USA provides an adequate level of data protection only for companies certified under the Swiss-U.S. or EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework . Google, Microsoft and Zoom are certified under it. In addition, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), apply.
I keep personal data only for as long as necessary for its purpose or as required by law (see the periods above). It is then deleted or anonymised.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please write to info@presentation-power.ch ; I may ask for proof of identity.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch ) and, where the GDPR applies to you, with the data protection authority in your country of residence.
The website is TLS-encrypted. I protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, e.g. access restrictions and two-factor authentication on my accounts.
I update this policy when my website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
The website uses three categories: strictly necessary (always active), analytics and marketing (both only with consent).
The contact form with ALTCHA spam protection sets no cookies. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
